Kinda slow, but good after 2 months off
I took about two months off after the Ragnar in June. It wasn’t really on purpose, but fitting in running during a busy summer just didn’t happen. I am determined to get back into it and find some fun runs to keep me motivated. This morning was a good start, albeit a slow one.

Less than a week to go!
Friday is the big day, and I ran this one to give me the confidence that I could go a decent distance while not totally tiring myself out for the week! Gonna plan to do 3 tomorrow and 2 on Weds then take Thursday off!

This was a great run! I went out with my 7 year old son and he seriously kept up with this pace the whole way! Yup, my 7 year old son just ran 3 miles in 28 and a half minutes. I am seriously a proud mommy!

Man, it was humid out there today! I ran with my hydration pack, and while I appreciated having the water to dump on myself and sip on when I needed it, the extra weight really weighed me down. I think I am going to have to only use it when I am running atleast 5 miles.
I am trying to run everyday except Sunday this week. My times will probably be slower this week as I add extra days, but hopefully I will increase my stamina. The Wasatch Back relay is only one month a way!

First 5K this year
Not too many hills but this was run on a dirt trail that was REALLY muddy. By yesterday evening I was really sore in my feet and joints from having to try to stabalize myself on the uneven surface! I am definitely spoiled by my nice paved trails near my home.
I went out too fast in the beginning, so I really got tired out pretty quick and felt way too slow the rest of the run. Next time I need to control my start (too much adrenaline I guess) and I think I will run a better time. I was happy to go sub 30 though, as I was running 31s last summer =)
